Aladar Komjathy is a respected government affairs professional with more than 30 years of experience at the state capital in Trenton, New Jersey. Before opening his own firm, Al worked at the Stewart Agency. Since opening his own firm, Al’s knowledge and expertise in New Jersey government helped him to broaden his services to include a wide range of national corporate clients, including Comcast, Sprint, Waste Management, and GlaxoSmithKline. With the addition of Eileen Kean to his firm, educational and non-profit organizations have become part of the firm’s client profile, as well as additional corporate clients.
Al began his career in 1980 as a legislative assistant to state senator Francis J. McManimon. In 1982, Al moved to the New Jersey Department of Corrections, where he served as special assistant to the Commissioner of Corrections. Al was responsible for all public and legislative affairs for one of New Jersey’s largest and most complex cabinet agencies and proved to be an effective leader, overseeing the design and construction of the massive $238 million South Woods State Prison in Cumberland County, which opened in 1997. He also served as the Correction Commissioner’s liaison to the governor’s office, the legislature, other state agencies, and business and community leaders.
Al served on the Hunterdon County Board of Taxation for 2002 to 2010, and was president of the Board for five years. He continues to stay active in community affairs, serving as chairman of the Lambertville Board of Fire Commissioners. Al earned his bachelor’s degree in public administration and political science at Trenton State College in 1982 and served in the U.S. Navy for three years.
