At Capital Health, we provide our professionals with educational resources to promote continual process improvement and awareness of evidence-based care and advances in the field of health care. Our Clinical Education Department provides system-wide and department specific educational plans that focus on national patient safety issues. Led by experienced registered nurses, the Clinical Education Department offers programs that focus on orientation, in-service departmental needs and continuing education for professional credentialing. Professional education programs are based on standards set forth by The Joint Commission (an independent, not-for-profit organization that accredits and certifies health care organizations and programs across the country) and the American Nurses Association (a nationally recognized organization dedicated to advancing the nursing profession by fostering high standards of nursing practice). Our Medical Staff Services Department also maintains an accredited continuing medical education (CME) program for physicians to stay on the cutting edge of medical best practices.
