Dr. Zafar focuses on seeing patients 12 years of age and older. He has been in private practice and affiliated with hospital systems across New Jersey for more than 30 years. After receiving his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Westbury, New York, he completed a family medicine residency with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson (UMDNJ-RWJ) at Saint Peter’s Medical Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey (where he was chief resident in his final year).
Dr. Zafar was previously a faculty member and family medicine service coordinator at Capital Health and taught family medicine residents. As a member of the Capital Health Medical Staff, he also helped develop practice policies within the Department of Internal Medicine. He previously served as a founding member of the Capital Health Primary Care – Quakerbridge practice.
