Dr. Raja Salem is a fellowship trained and board certified critical care surgeon and general surgeon.
He received his medical degree from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, NY and completed his residency in general surgery at Brooklyn Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY, and Grace Hospital in Detroit, MI. He received his fellowship training in surgical critical care at Cooper University Medical Center in Camden, NJ. He is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery.
In addition to the Bristol-Myers Squibb Trauma Center at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Dr. Salem previously served as an attending trauma surgeon at Cooper University Medical Center and AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, NJ. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, Society of Critical Care Medicine, Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine and the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST).
He has been published in the New York Journal of Medicine and has presented research at the Annual Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeons.
