Capital Health’s Vascular Rehabilitation Program at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell provides individually prescribed exercise and education for persons with symptomatic lower-extremity peripheral artery disease.
Participants include those who are experiencing:
- Lower-extremity peripheral artery disease that causes mild or severe cramping pain in the legs with walking.
- Lower-extremity revascularization procedures but continue to have cramping pain in the legs with walking.

Before entering the program, all program candidates complete an interview and individual assessment that includes a health history and review of risk factors.
Our multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, exercise physiologists and registered dietitians assist you in achieving specific lifestyle behaviors through:
- personalized exercise
- nutritional counseling
- risk factor management approaches
- psychological support
Our Vascular Rehabilitation Program is located on the fourth level (Suite 405) at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell. We offer a full complement of aerobic exercise equipment and free weights.
Most insurance carriers cover the cost of this program. Please check with your insurance carrier regarding coverage for vascular rehabilitation.
