Neurophysiology is the branch of neuroscience that studies the functioning of the nervous system. Our Neurophysiology Lab, located at Capital Institute for Neuroscience – Princeton and accredited by the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM), is available for patients who need diagnostic services such as:
- Electromyography – measures the electrical activity of your muscles and nerves to determine how well they are working together.
- Nerve conduction studies – measure how fast your nerves send electrical signals.
- Electroencephalography – measures the electrical activity of the brain.
- Evoked potential tests – measure the speed of electrical signals along your sensory nerves to brain in response to visual, auditory, and tactile stimulation.
