Dr. Alexander Koppel received his medical degree from Columbia University in New York City and completed his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his fellowship training in cardiovascular disease at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, and vascular ultrasound.
Dr. Koppel has been practicing cardiology at his current location in Newtown, Pennsylvania since completing his training in 2014. He is experienced in managing critically ill cardiac patients and rounds on patients at St. Mary's Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. His clinical interests include preventive cardiology, hypertension/high blood pressure, high cholesterol, valve disease and murmurs, palpitations and arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease, and heart failure.
