Effective July 1, 2019, Capital Health assumed operation of the satellite emergency department (SED) located on the Browns Mills campus of Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Burlington County’s only fully licensed cardiac center. The new name for the SED is Capital Health at Deborah – Emergency Services.
The emergency department resides on the grounds of Deborah. Nestled in the Pine Barrens, the location offers both ambulances and walk-in patients hassle-free access to top quality emergency care. Capital Health at Deborah – Emergency Services is fully equipped and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The 10,000 square-foot facility features:
- Eleven exam/treatment rooms
- Triage bay
- Cardiac resuscitation room
- Specialized treatment areas, including OB/GYN and Isolation/Decontamination
- Support services such as lab and radiology
- Comfortable waiting area
- Ample parking at an easy to drive to location
The new location serves patients throughout the greater Deborah region. Residents in this area enjoy the benefits of a modern, cutting-edge emergency department that offers a wide range of amenities with seamless access to the medical services of Capital Health and Deborah if additional treatment is necessary.
If you should have any questions for the staff at Capital Health at Deborah - Emergency Services regarding the care you received that cannot be answered by your primary care physician or specialist, please call 609.735.2950. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 (do not call Capital Health at Deborah – Emergency Services).
FINANCIAL POLICIES
Capital Health is committed to providing care to all patients, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. Under our financial assistance and charity care programs, you may be eligible to receive financial help that covers part or all of your hospital bill. If you do not qualify for either of these programs, Capital Health can offer prompt payment discounts and discounts for patients who have bills that are a significant financial burden to them.
All emergency room visits will result in a minimum of two bills, a hospital bill and a physician bill. Hours of operation for our Patient Accounts Department are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. You can also find financial assistance information online at www.capitalhealth.org.
Envision Physician Services provide the physician services. Patient telephone inquiries regarding billing for Emergency Medical Associates CHS, LLC should be directed to 1.800.355.2470. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

To request a copy of your record from Capital Health at Deborah – Emergency Services, please contact our Health Information Management Department at 609.394.6121, extension 801.1257. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. You will be greeted by a staff member from our Health Information Management Department who can assist you.
