Lynda Kita is a registered nurse with more than 35 years of experience in delivering health care to women as a certified nurse midwife. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania. After recieving her Certificate in Nurse-Midwifery from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey, Lynda received her Master of Science in Nursing from Thomas Edison State University in Trenton, New Jersey.
Lynda has been providing care for women before, during and after pregnancy and childbirth as part of Capital Health OB/GYN – Trenton (formerly Healthstart Maternity Clinic) in Trenton, New Jersey since 1994. Prior to Capital Health, Lynda provided care at Women’s Specialists of Bucks County in Langhorne, Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Lynda participates in quality improvement activities and the Baby Friendly initiative at Capital Health. She is also a clinical preceptor for nurse-midwifery students from University of Pennsylvania and family practice residents from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
