While under the sponsorship of Saint Francis Medical Center, the School of Radiologic Technology was fortunate to receive grants from the federal government under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students and to assist in expenses related to disruption of in-person operations due to COVID-19.
A Certification and Agreement was signed by St. Francis Medical Center and returned to the Department of Education assuring that no less than fifty (50) percent of these funds would be used to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students. Our grant award notification, dated September 1, 2020, provides a total grant award of $24,317.00. The total number of students eligible to receive these funds is twenty-three (23). On November 9, 2020, twenty-three (23) qualified students received checks totaling $12,167.00, which represents fifty (50) percent of the total grant. Saint Francis MC School of Radiography awarded funds equally among eligible students.
