The Auxiliary was established in 1895 to support the hospital, initially known as Mercer and now as Capital Health, in meeting the needs of patients and serving the community. Over the years, the Auxiliary has planned several fundraising events and community outreach service programs.
In recent years, the Auxiliary has hosted their annual Designer Bag Bingo, Pecan Sale and Tree of Lights events and their biennial Runway of Courage Fashion Show to name a few. Through these and other fundraising efforts, they have been able to donate more than $1 million to help support patients and enrich their hospital experience.
The Capital Health Auxiliary is a dedicated group of individuals who believe that even small steps can lead to significant impact. Through teamwork and collaboration, like-minded and compassionate people come together to create positive change in the lives of others.
