The field of radiologic technology is a challenging and rewarding one that demands competent and compassionate radiographers. A radiologic technologist (or radiographer) uses ionizing radiation to produces images of various parts of the body that are interpreted by a radiologist.
There are several paths to becoming a certified radiologic technologist. These include a two-year hospital-based program offered at Capital Health, two-year associate degree programs, and four-year bachelor’s degree programs. If you are a highly motivated individual who is interested in radiographic procedures, equipment operation and quality control, image production and evaluation, radiation protection, and patient care and education, then a career in the radiologic sciences might be for you.
To that end, we have included information about the field of radiologic technology on this website as well as general information about our program. Should you require further information, please feel free to call the school at 609-599-5234.
Applications will be accepted from September 1 through February 15 each year and must be accompanied by a $50 non-refundable application fee. Please note prerequisite college coursework.
