What drew you to the program: I loved the collaborative way the entire team was, and I just felt that it's very easy to let the stress of the field make us feel negative and cynical about medicine. However, the way the residents and faculty talk about improving each patient's quality of life and their passion for learning, teaching, and being in health care just drew me to the program. I also love how everyone on the team emphasizes the importance of proper mental health. Health care workers tend to forget their own health needs, physical or mental, but I really respect the program's goal to allow residents to learn in a wholesome environment where their academic needs and health needs are seen as equally important.
Fun Fact: I really want to visit Antarctica one day.
